Bio
Óscar Preciado (Cali, Colombia) signs his work as Xscriptor, a name under which poetry, musical lyricism, digital painting and software development converge. His writing, indebted to the magical realism of Gabriel García Márquez, springs from lived experience rather than fiction: a self-confessional voice that turns experience into literary matter and seeks to make the reader recognise themselves in it. He debuted in 2022 with Cielos de alquitrán (Tar Skies), a poetry anthology published by Editorial Círculo Rojo and described by Europa Press as a collection of texts with a whiff of nostalgia, followed by Primavera en el desierto (Spring in the Desert) in 2022 and Colaterales in 2024. As a developer, he maintains in parallel an open source ecosystem — web component libraries for React and Next.js, terminal tools in Rust, configurations for systems and editors, post-quantum cryptography — in which the precision of code and the sensitivity of the word pursue a single end.
